A common forb in pastures, roadsides, lawns, abandoned fields, and food plots. It is found throughout North America and Greenland. It finds a place in food plots as a cold season forage for turkey and deer that has a respectable nutritional value, is easy to grow, reseeds yearly and there isn’t much that out-competes them in the first two years after planting.
