Dallisgrass

Dallisgrass

Poaceae Paspalum dilatatum

Non-native

Introduced throughout the southeast as a warm season forage. Primarily found in wet to moist pastures, clear cuts, forest openings, Presents a problem for reintroducing native warm season grasses. Makes poor habitat for quail and poor forage for deer. It is a poor habitat because it is a mat forming grass instead of a clump forming grass.
